    Good morning.

    This is really a two-part question.

    1.  Does anyone have a policy for at-home call?  We have been struggling with how residents are logging work hours while on at-home call.

    2. Any faculty development topics that can be shared would be great.

    Hi Kierstin,

    Over the past 2 years I’ve worked with our Program Director to increase our faculty development.  As a program we started to offer a Grand Rounds on the fifth Thursday of the month that is geared specifically towards Faculty Development.  This equates to 3 times per year.  Here are a few virtual guest speakers that we had and received positive feedback on.

    Dr Terrance Peabody – “Educating the Future Generation”

    Dr Samir Mehta – “Teaching in the OR” and “Teaching on the Run – Principles and Practicality in Resident Education”

    Dr Ellen Friedman – “Professionalism Pearls”
