    Good morning.

    Can you please share if your program completes the required (23) weeks of children’s orthopaedics as a set peds rotation or if some of the required peds time is split within other rotations?  Right now our program has a set 4 months (16) weeks of peds.  The remaining 7 weeks is being counted and split between rotations. Example:  1-2 weeks in Pediatrics and 1-2 weeks in FX/Trauma for one rotation.

    Our Program currently does two 3 month rotation in a set peds rotation. One in their PGY-2 year and another in their PGY-3 year.

    Our program does two 2 month rotations in a set pediatric rotation during their PGY 2-4 years.

    Hi –

    At the University of Cincinnati our residents do 18 weeks of peds as a PGY2 and another 10 weeks as a PGY4.

    Hi Kierstin~

    At WVU, we have dedicated pediatric rotations.  12 weeks in the PGY3 and 12 weeks in the PGY4 years.

    We do 4 month rotations in their 3rd year and 2 month rotations in their 4th and 5th year. So they end up with 32 weeks.

    Good afternoon,

    At UPMC Central Pa our program has dedicated pediatric rotations.  As a PGY2 they complete a 13 week peds rotation and then as a PGY4 they complete another 13 week peds rotation.

    At Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, our residents do the following:

    PGY2’s complete 8 weeks of Ortho Peds at our Sponsoring Institution/main campus

    PGY3’s complete 8 weeks at a Children’s Hospital/required out rotation

    PGY4’s complete the last 8 weeks back at our Sponsoring Institution

    At University of Washington our residents do two months of Ortho Peds their R1 year and 6 months of Ortho Peds their R3 year.
