    Hello:

    Our Chair is stepping down as of July 1st and we would like to have a plaque for him.  Has anyone done a plaque and what did you have printed on it?

    Any suggestions on what we could put on it?

    Hi Michelle,

    We have not done a plaque for this.  Maybe try reaching out to another program/department at your institution to see if they have one to share with you.

    When our chair retired about 10 years ago, we got a nice plaque that noted his years of service as chairman and gave him a nice piece of nambe ware.   I will see if I can get a picture of the plaque when I’m in the office next week.

    Hey Michelle,

    When I am looking for plaque ideas, I search online.  But I also like to use a poem or message that is personal and/or the Tree of Andry.  The last stanza of “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost has been a favorite of mine forever.  A local Trophy Shop would be glad to help you with ideas, too.
