Sending message on behalf of Dr. Deb Bohn, University of Minnesota faculty member
Dear ARCOS members,
We are reaching out on behalf of The Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society. Over the past year, our mentoring committee has compiled a centralized resource that outlines programs that offer funding and/or scholarships for underrepresented and female medical students interested in orthopedics. Whether it be an orthopedic research scholarship, funding for an away rotation, or some other focus, we would greatly appreciate your time and knowledge in verifying that what your program offers is accurately represented on our attached spreadsheet.
Please confirm or update scholarship information for your program by sending an email to orthoed@umn.edu
If possible, send your updated information by October 14, 2021
In line with the mission of RJOS, the goal of this project and its eventual distribution to applicants is to diversify the field of orthopedics for the betterment of both the specialty as a whole and patient care at large. Should there be any updates on the offerings of your program please send an email to orthoed@umn.edu detailing pertinent updates in the next two weeks. We will plan to send an updated version shortly after this deadline which we invite you to disperse to anyone who may be interested at your home institution.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Many thanks for your time and consideration,
Deborah Bohn, MD
The RJOS Mentoring Committee Chair
