    Hi everyone-

I hope everyone is doing well and surviving yet another busy time of the year for us between graduation, orientation, and everything else that comes along with preparing for the new academic year.

The ARCOS Board has been busy working on putting together a schedule of virtual meetings and adding some new features to our website.

In lieu of our annual conference that we canceled for San Diego later this summer, we will be offering monthly virtual meetings. We are in the process of finalizing the dates/times for the virtual meetings and hope to have a master schedule to share with everyone soon. In the meantime, I want to let everyone know that we have a meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 3 at 12:00 pm EDT, “Meet and Greet with the ACGME Team and What’s New in Ortho.” During this meeting you will have the opportunity to meet our amazing team at the ACGME….

    • Corey Parker, MPA- Executive Director, RCs for Colon and Rectal Surgery, Neurological Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
    • Jennifer Luna – Associate Executive Director, RCs for Colon and Rectal Surgery, Neurological Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
    • Citlali Meza, MPA – Accreditation Administrator, RCs for Colon and Rectal Surgery, Neurological Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
    • Jules Girts, MS – Accreditation Administrator, RCs for Colon and Rectal Surgery, Neurological Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery

Next, I am happy to share with everyone a couple of new features on the ARCOS website that I’m pretty sure everyone will find user friendly.

First new feature is Upcoming Events. Here you will find a calendar of events sponsored by ARCOS as well as those from our affiliated organizations (AAOS, ABOS, and AOA, etc.).

Here are the steps to utilize this new feature….
    • Log into the ARCOS website https://arcosonline.org
    • At the top of the page, click on Upcoming Events then click on view as calendar or view as list.
    • Click on the virtual session you would like to attend and complete the registration.
    • You will then receive an email with your registration confirmation.
    • Open the email and click on the attachment to save the event on your calendar.

You will receive a separate email with the Zoom link for the meeting.

Second new feature is Past Event Recordings. We know that everyone is extremely busy and may not be able to attend the “live” virtual meetings. All meetings will be recorded and you can view them on your own time. Past Event Recordings can be found under Resources on the top of the page. We still want to encourage everyone to make an effort to attend the “live” meetings as this will allow you the opportunity to ask questions during the Q/A session.

If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the board members.

    Kim
