    Dear Orthopaedic Program Coordinator,

University Hospitals Cleveland is actively engaged in determining the primary methods in which resident education is being conducted in Orthopaedic Surgery residencies across the United States.

A research team at the University Hospitals Sports Medicine Institute is currently recruiting participants to participate in a survey examining the methods in which resident education is being disseminated. Namely, this RedCap survey seeks to better understand the frequency of journals clubs, the way in which journal articles are reviewed (paper versus electronic) and the journals which are primarily selected for review.

This project is being conducted by Dr. Derrick Knapik and Dr. James E. Voos, Chairmen of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. The survey should take approximately 2-3 minutes to complete.

Survey completion is completely voluntary and anonymous.

We will send 2 reminders to participate in this study. If you would prefer not to be contacted for this study, or have any questions about the research, please call Dr. Derrick Knapik, MD at 614-551-3314.

Distribution of this survey has been granted exemption by the University Hospital’s Institutional Review Board.

All UH research is approved through a special review process to protect patient safety, welfare and confidentiality.
