    We just received notification that we are having our virtual site visit on 9/29, rescheduled from April. Just curious, any program receive ACGME accreditation without having General Surgery? We currently have GS, with only 1 resident (PGY 5) and have submitted an application, did not receive accreditation the 1st time. Not sure if our institution is going to submit again. Just wondering if we don’t get GS, if we ever have a chance.

    I’m also wondering if any programs have achieved accreditation without having General Surgery. That is our biggest hurdle as well. We do not have a General Surgery program. We have a virtual site visit schedule for October 7th, not sure what to expect. Best of luck! If you wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me I would appreciate it.
