Here’s a link to a webinar on Virtual Residency Interview Strategies. It’s free!
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix will be hosting a webinar on Virtual Residency Interview Strategies – SPLIT Recruitment: a novel approach to residency interviews during COVID-19 and beyond on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 3:00 PM (MST).
Beginning in 2017, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix Internal Medicine Residency Program instituted comprehensive changes to our recruitment and interview processes. With the framework of SPLIT Residency Recruitment, the use of live video interviews separated from an in-person site visit preserves the meaningful components of traditional interview days while resulting in increased flexibility.
Program leaders will present a detailed description of the process for both categorical and preliminary medicine programs, share personal experiences with it, discuss outcomes, and allow for live questions and answers. Those who participate will also be invited to join an email list to continue to share lessons learned as they implement a similar process at their own institutions.
• Site visits separated from interviews and focused on applicant needs
• Pre-interview supplemental information form to personalize the interview
• Learn detailed program information independently via a unique website dedicated to invited applicants
• Interviews done remotely with live audio/video
• Timing flexible for each component (remote interview day and site visit)Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/virtual-residency-interviewing-strategies-webinar-registration-103756566684
